Where does PBNify process your photo?
The current service is not a no-upload tool. Its privacy policy says images are sent to third-party cloud computing and machine learning providers to create designs, and may be retained for redownloads and support. This is based on PBNify's published policy, not a network trace of its generator.
paintbynumbers.build generates, edits and exports locally. Your photo stays on your device; the site also uses analytics and may show home-page advertising. See how to verify local image processing and our privacy policy.

Paint matching, browser processing, and direct downloads remain useful supporting capabilities. They are included in the table for completeness, but SVG output and manual region editing are the reasons to choose this editor.
When PBNify or a kit might suit you better
Current PBNify offers background removal, crop choices and My Designs for reopening recent designs. It also sells a complete canvas, paint and brush kit if you prefer that to printing your own template and sourcing materials.
Classic PBNify is the older browser-based option. Its original source code is available under the MIT license for reading or self-hosting. That open-source description does not apply to the relaunched kit service. The current service advertises emailed printables; that delivery method should not be attributed to Classic.
But if you want true vector output and direct control over the generated regions, this editor is built for that workflow.
